Monday, May 14, 2007—Yesterday was certainly a Happy Mother’s Day for several brand-new celebrity mamas. Crooner Sheryl Crow, actress Jaime Pressly, Donald Trump Jr’s wife Vanessa, and Gilmore Girls’ Melissa McCarthy all welcomed new babes into their lives and homes shortly before Mother’s Day.

You might be thinking, was Sheryl Crow pregnant? Actually, she wasn’t; she did, however, very recently adopt a two-week-old baby boy, according to an announcement on her website. She named the baby Wyatt Steven; Wyatt, after her dad, and Steven, after her little brother and manager “Scooter.” Wyatt was born in the US, but no other details about the adoption were given. According to People online, 45-year-old Crow, who split up with Lance Armstrong and was diagnosed with breast cancer both in February 2006, is going to be taking some time off to focus on being a mom.

The seemingly forever-pregnant Jaime Pressly, the female lead in My Name is Earl (starring Jason Lee), is also going to be taking some “mom time” after giving birth to her baby boy, Dezi James, on Friday, May 11 at 7:31 a.m. in LA. Dezi, who’s comically named after Desi Arnaz (Pressly’s fiancé Eric Cubiche apparently does a wicked impression of Arnaz), weighed in at six pounds, four ounces.

At 10 ounces more than little Dezi, little Kai Madison, daughter of Donald Trump Jr and his wife Vanessa, was born a day later in New York City, just in time for Mother’s Day. Kai makes Donald Trump (Sr) a grandpa, only about a year after the funny-haired billionaire became a father himself with the birth of Barron.

There’s also an as-yet-to-be confirmed rumor that the very pregnant Melissa McCarthy, cousin of Jenny McCarthy and the actress who plays Lorelai’s (Lauren Graham) best friend Sookie on Gilmore Girls, gave birth to a baby girl on May 5, the day before Kevin Costner became a father for the fifth time with birth of his son Cayden Wyatt Costner by his wife Christine.
