Born as Pamela Ann Weissenbach on October 16, 1963 in Tulsa, Oklahoma to German parents, actress Pamela Bach established herself as not only one of German’s top actresses with her impressive and notable win of the country’s prestigious and coveted Otto Award, but also transitioned into an internationally known and recognized actress and celebrity. Despite accomplishing much throughout her lifetime and career, Bach is currently (and unfortunately) most known for her ongoing custody battle with her famous ex-husband David Hasselhoff, whom she married on December 8, 1989, and with whom she has two teenage daughters: Hayley and Taylor-Ann. The couple filed for divorce in early January of 2006, and became officially divorced by July 27 of that year. On June 15, 2007, Hasselhoff, aka "The Hoff", won primary physical custody and sole legal custody of the two girls, much to Bach’s dismay. Bach then fired her attorney (Debra Opri, who was previously canned by Larry Birkhead in the case of the late Anna Nicole Smith’s daughter Dannielynn). Bach reportedly is now working with Mark Kaplan, her former lawyer who also reps Kevin Federline (the ex Mr. Britney Spears). Before entering the limelight as Hasselhoff’s ex-wife, Bach enjoyed a successful acting career, beginning with guest appearances in a number of T.V. series in the mid-to-late 1980s, including Otherworld, T.J. Hooker, Knight Rider, Cheers, The Fall Guy, Superboy, and The New Lassie.
In 1991, Bach landed the recurring role of Kaye Morgan in the popular series Baywatch (starring then-hubby David Hasselhoff, Pamela Anderson, Yasmine Bleeth, among others). She kept the role until 2000, a year before the series ended. Bach also played Mari Jo Mason for a number of episodes on the hit soap opera The Young and the Restless in 1994, after which she landed the role of Dr. Ellen Baskin on Sirens for its final of only two seasons, from 1994 to 1995. On the big screen, Bach starred in More Than Puppy Love (2000) opposite Diane Ladd. Bach has also worked as a producer, having produced the 2000 film Castle Rock, in which she also starred (as Libby) alongside Alana Austin (who played Andy Harper), Ernet Borgnine, Matt Bradesku, Craig Clyde, Mason Craddock, Frank Gorshin, Melissa R Haas, Wolf Larson, and many others. Most recently, Bach served as host for the short-lived T.V. series Missing, which featured profiles of missing, abducted, or otherwise “vanished” people.
