Ready to Face a New Year with a New Face Friday, January 5, 2007 - If you have seen photos of Courtney Love in the latter half of 2006, you may have exclaimed, “what the…?!?!” due to the over inflated look of her lips and the overall plastique look of her face. Perhaps she noticed too. The rocker, author, and Kurt Cobain widow was spotted alongside former Smashing Pumpkins lead singer Billy Corgan at the LA premiere of Patrick Dempsey and Hilary Swank’s Freedom Writers Thursday night. US Weekly magazine is speculating, based on her puffed up, yet more human like face, that perhaps she has had surgery. A girl has to put her best face forward in the new years. And, when you have plenty of time and plenty of money, why not pick out the one you want and order it from Plastic Surgery-R-Us. The details of the “speculation” are that she had her nose done, again (third times a charm) and deflated her life-raft like lips. A source close to Ms Love tells Us Weekly that Love sought out the assistance of one of the top surgeons in Paris in an attempted to correct a series of botched cosmetic surgeries that led her to her Barbie-gone-wrong look of 2006.
When questioned if the rumors were true, Love simply replied, "I'm not going to comment on that tonight. I just think me looking human is cool." She may be hesitant to admit that her swollen face is the result of more surgery. She recently posted a new years resolution on her weblog, saying “no more surgery for any reason other than medical until i really need it in my 60s.” Here’s hoping that when the swelling subsides that she looked more human and she’ll now put down the knife and slowly back away. Maybe they should make Michael Jackson the poster child for plastic surgery addiction. That would help people. And, does anyone else think that Joan Rivers and Steven Tyler look more and more alike with every face lift? Scary, isn’t it?
