Renee Zellweger Dating Luke Perry Thursday, January 18, 2007—And the odd couples just keep popping up. Veteran actress Renee Zellweger is reportedly dating ex-90210 star Luke Perry. The pair was recently spotted at the Sunset Tower Hotel’s Tower Bar restaurant in Los Angeles, looking very cozy, intimate, and comfortable with each other. According to eCanadaNow, a source told the New York Post that, “they were definitely on a date,” sharing an intimate table for two, “talking very closely and rubbing knees.” The source also describes the couple as looking “super-skinny,” with Perry in baggy, grungy-looking garb, and Zellweger in a very casual outfit. Zellweger, 37, has recently mentioned that her official New Year’s resolution is to work on her love life, as well as to cook a lot more, and spend more time with her cat. The Bridget Jones and Jerry Maguire actress earned her sixth Golden Globe nomination in December 2006 for her portrayal of Beatrix Potter in Miss Potter (2006), in which she starred alongside Ewan McGregor, but lost out to Meryl Streep in The Devil Wears Prada.
Zellweger was most recently involved with country singer Kenny Chesney, whom she married in May 2005—after which they announced an annulment four months later. She previously dated actor Jim Carrey. Perry, 41, is most known for his bad-boy role in Beverly Hills: 90210, the popular teen series of the 1990’s, co-starring Shannen Doherty, Jason Priestley, Jennie Garth, Tori Spelling, Brian Austin Green, and Ian Ziering. He has two children with his ex-wife Rachel “Minnie” Sharp. —CL
