Coming to H&M Near You:
Roberto Cavalli joins the list of haute-couture designers slumming it in the chain-stores.  The fashion icon, known as much for his lavish lifestyle as for his wild animal prints & ultra-sexy cuts, cut a deal to design a one-off women's and men's collection to be sold in 200 H&M stores Nov. 8th. 

Cavalli, who famously signed an exclusive dressing contract with Victoria Beckham, gained notoriety as the first designer to publicly announce that he wanted Kate Moss as the face of his Spring 2006 collection  - despite the little coke-kate scandal.  

We can’t wait to see the soccer moms and hipsters who frequent H&M dressed like slutty tigers.

From Titanic to Trésor:
We hear the gorgeous Kate Winslet is mulling over an offer to be the new face of Lancome’s top-selling fragrance, Trésor.  The heavenly creature will follow in the footsteps of another exceptional beauty, Isabella Rossellini, whose work with Lancome resulted in breathtaking campaigns.  Often touted as being “curvy” or (my favorite) “real,” the svelte MILF promises to bring both glamour and accessibility to the brand.

David Does Gucci:

Upcoming Gucci billboards will be anything but boring… word is that the fashion powerhouse tapped offbeat director David Lynch to direct its new fragrance ads.  The mastermind behind Blue Velvet and Twin Peaks,  Lynch possesses a truly unique directorial vision.  His trademark brand of dreamlike seediness and  - shall we say – unorthodox sequences sounds like a match made in heaven for glam-goth Gucci.

Gwen Promises to Rock Fashion Week 07: 
Super-mom/ rock-star / thriving designer Gwen Stefani plans to rock the house – er, make that tent – once again at NYC Fashion Week 07, her L.A.M.B label confirms.  L.A.M.B booked the biggest available venue for Fashion Week’s opening night to unveil Gwen's new collection.  No word yet on whether Akron gets an invite.

Avril’s Ambitions:
Speaking of singers & fashion,... Avril Lavigne, a woman of (apparently) many talents, harbors the unique ambition of designing her very own fashion line.

"I'd love to do a clothing line, I think that would be so much fun," Lavigne told Sun Media. "I always have been visual, I have a million ideas and I love fashion."

Oh yes - the aspiring designer (dare we say... Gwenabee?) also wants to act.  She plays a small role in upcoming Richard Gere flick “The Flock”, and has her sites set on “a big part.”

In between starring movie roles and launching fashion lines, the 22 year old just might treat us to a “completely traditional” Christmas Album.
