Thursday, April 26, 2007—‘Tis the season for quitting—or so it would seem. In the wake of comedienne Rosie ODonnell making her shocking announcement she’s quitting The View come June (when her one-year-only contract ends), MTV hostess Vanessa Minnillo has also announced she’s leaving her hosting duties on Total Request Live, according to People magazine. The 26-year-old brunette beauty, who managed to snag the hunky Nick Lachey as her own after his much-publicized split from Jessica Simpson, says she’s simply ready to move on, although she says she’s not sure what she’s moving on to. “I’m ready for the next chapter—what it is, I have no idea,” she admitted at a recent Breast Cancer Research Foundation benefit. However, according to Extra, she did mention she didn’t want to be 48 years old and introducing a video for Sean Preston Spears (Britney Spears’s son).Minnillo did confess, though, that she will miss her groovy gig on Total Request Live—particularly the adrenaline and excitement that she says comes with the territory. Minnillo is the current New York-based correspondent for Entertainment Tonight, and in 1998 was Miss Teen USA. People also reports that Miss Minnillo and Lachey have officially moved in together, into a swanky New York City condominium apartment. —CL
