Born in the north of England to a middle class family but soon finding fame with her model like body and being in the right place at the right time, this ex-nurse has become a well known glamour model with several appearances on the cover of many UK men’s publications including FHM magazine.

Abigail Titmuss, better known in the world of celebrity as Abi Titmuss, was born in Ruskington, Lincolnshire, England on February 8th February 1976. Both her parents were teachers and ensured that Abi too had a full and successful education. She attended Kesteven and Sleaford High School where she showed an interest in music and took up the clarinet.

After graduating from City University in St Bartholomew's Hospital in 1998, Abi pursued a career in nursing and became a staff nurse at London's University College Hospital. During a time at the Royal Brompton Hospital, she was harassed by a senior house officer in 2004 and after taking the doctor to court he was eventually found guilty of misconduct by a General Medical Council tribunal.

This was Abi’s first brush with publicity and it wasn’t long after the incident that she met children’s TV presenter John Leslie at a party in a public house in London in 1998. Quickly forming a relationship with John, Titmuss lived between her student nurse accommodation at the hospital and Leslie's home in Barnes, south-west London.

The couple gained public attention in 2002 when television’s ex-weather girl and game show host, Ulrika Jonsson revealed in her autobiography that she had been raped early in her career by another TV personality. Within weeks the News Of The World newspaper ran the headlines and pictures of Leslie and Titmuss in sexual activities.

Then on his evening show, Matthew Wright, revealed that Leslie had been named as the rapist in the revelations in Jonsson’s book. The incident served to raise Titmuss’s profile while Leslie’s career plummeted when he was dragged through the courts to prove his innocence of the attack.

Abi’s glamour looks and love of the camera gained her a part-time post as a reporter for husband and wife TV presenters, Richard Madeley and Judy Finnigin. Titmuss still worked as a nurse but also undertook occasional projects for the TV show.

With the release by Leslie of video tape showing Abi in a ménage à trois Titmuss lost her job as a nurse and immediately separated from John Leslie. Titmuss insisted that Leslie had released the tape to the press in light of his extreme need to fund his lifestyle since he no longer had employment as a TV presenter.

Abi soon capitalized on the image that the British press had portrayed of her as a sex star and she soon became Britain's #1 pinup. In an interview with Sunday Mirror she openly stated: "I'm not like those glamour girls who say: 'I'm really dirty, I'm really bad', then just pose around. I really am dirty and bad - I love sex."

Finding her niche in the world of pornography she appeared on TV, authored an erotic novel and made personal appearances in nightclubs all over the UK and Ireland. In 2004 and 2005 Titmuss made the covers of many UK men's magazines, such as FHM , Nuts, Zoo Weekly, Loaded, GQ and Maxim magazine and in December 2004, Titmuss appeared on the front cover of FHM magazine with Victoria Silvstedt.

After taking a break from modeling work, Titmuss relaunched her glamour career as a brunette with an appearance on the cover of Zoo Weekly magazine and the sale of the official Abi Titmuss Calendar 2007.

Abi eventually branched out into acting and found a role as a celebrity on the series Deadline with journalist Janet Street Porter, a show that follows a number of celebrities as they attempted to produce a celebrity-based magazine each week. In an attempt to improve her skills in acting she took a short course at the Central School of Speech and Drama, and went on to make her West End acting debut in March 2006 playing a prostitute with a multiple personality disorder in Two Way Mirror by Arthur Miller, which won her a Fring Report Award in February 2007 for Best West End Debut for her role in Two Way Mirror.

Since gaining the image of a ‘sex kitten’ following the John Leslie revelations, the British press have closely followed her personal life, naming among her partners, David Walliams, of Little Britain fame, Patrick McGuiness, Lee Sharpe, Brenden Cole and most lately with British rock singer, Joe Breakdown.
