Perhaps best known as "The Doritos Girl," Ali Landry was born on July 21, 1973, in Breaux Bridge, Louisiana. Landry, who is of Cajun and Choctaw Indian descent, graduated from Cecilia High School in 1991, and later attended the University of Louisiana where she majored in communications and was a member of the Kappa Delta Sorority.

In 1990, seventeen-year-old Landry was crowned Miss Louisiana Teen USA. She then went on to compete for Louisiana in the Miss Teen USA 1990 pageant, placing seventh. Six years later, Landry also won the Miss Louisiana USA title, and then went on to represent Louisiana in the Miss USA 1996 pageant. Landry brought home the crown as Miss USA; the first of the teen title-holders to do so.

Landry’s post-pageantry life included several modeling stints, particularly in swimsuit modeling; as well as a co-hosting gig on the show America's Greatest Pets. In 1998, Landry was chosen as a spokeswoman for Doritos chips, appearing in television commercials during the 1998 and 1999 Super Bowls. Playing the object of every young man’s desire, Landry gained recognition from the commercials for her acrobatic stunts and stunning looks, and in 1998, was named by People magazine as one of 50 most beautiful people in the world. Landry has also been named one of FHM magazine's 100 Sexiest Women in the World; as well as one of Stuff Magazine's 100 Sexiest Women.

From 2003 to 2006, Landry was a regular cast member on the UPN sitcom Eve. She has also competed on the show Fear Factor, as well as appearing on the sitcoms Malcolm and Eddie with Malcolm Jamal Warner and Eddie Griffin; and Inside Schwartz. On the big screen, Landry has acted in Outta Time in 2002, alongside Mario López and George Lopez; and Bella in 2006.

On April 24, 2004, Landry wed long-term boyfriend and fellow actor, Mario López. However, just two weeks later, the couple had their marriage annulled. The following year, Landry became engaged to film director, Alejandro Gomez Monteverde, who wrote and directed the film Bella, in which she later starred. The couple was married on April 8, 2006, in San Miguel de Allende, Mexico. In 2007, Landry’s wedding to Monteverde was featured on InStyle: Celebrity Weddings, along with fellow brides, Tori Spelling, Marcia Cross, and Niki Taylor. Landry’s home was also featured on episodes of E!'s celebrity homes and MTV's Cribs.

An avid athlete, in her spare time Landry runs in marathons such as the Boston Marathon. She currently lives in Los Angeles, California.
