Beautiful, blonde, and talented, actress Amy Smart has been attracting attention for the last ten years in Hollywood. 

Born on March 26, 1976, Amy Smart was raised in California by her father John Smart and mother Judy Carrington. She has one brother, Adam. As a child, Amy Smart studied ballet for ten years but eventually choose a career in modeling and acting. 

Audiences first noticed Amy Smart in her role as James Van Der Beek’s girlfriend in the movie Varsity Blues in 1999. That same year she had a supporting role in the film Outside Providence. She has been working her way up to bigger roles ever since and is frequently cast as the romantic interest in her films.

She has been the leading lady to Breckin Myer in Road Trip in 2000, Ashton Kutcher in the Butterfly Effect in 2004, Owen Wilson in Starsky and Hutch in 2004, John Corbett in Bigger Than the Sky in 2005, and Ryan Reynolds in Just Friends also in 2005. Smart also starred in several episodes of the television shows Felicity and Scrubs. Always noticed for her good looks, Amy Smart’s character in Scrubs is dubbed as TCW (Tasty Coma Wife) by Zach Braff’s character JD, because she is the beautiful wife of a coma patient.

Her good looks have also gained her the attention of Stuff magazine. She made #27 on their 2002 list of 102 Sexiest Women in the World. Smart’s kiss with Owen Wilson in the movie Starsky and Hutch earned her a nomination in the Best Kiss category at the MTV Movie Awards.

While Amy Smart’s list of on-screen leading men is long, her list of real life leading men is quite short. She has been dating actor Brandon Williams for ten years and the two are engaged. Williams has had supporting roles in Never Been Kissed in 1999, Charlie’s Angels in 2000, and The Sweetest Thing in 2002. She was briefly rumored to be involved with Ashton Kutcher during the filming of The Butterfly Effect, but the rumors were most likely not true.

When she is not working on her latest film, Amy Smart is an active environmentalist. Organic Style magazine named her one of their Women with Organic Style for her work in making the world a better place. She has been associated with the Environmental Media Association, the Humane Society, and has been the spokesperson for Heal the Bay, a group which is devoted to cleaning the Santa Monica Bay. She is also a dedicated vegetarian.
