This model and sometimes actress has appeared on scores of magazine covers. Now a happily married wife and mother of two, the American beauty also has a social conscience. She is a vegetarian and an outspoken environmentalist, which led her to create her own foundation, Collage Foundation, whose primary aim is to promote awareness of environmental issues among young people, which she hopes will lead to more responsible decision making.
Angela Lindvall was born on January 14, 1979, in Midwest City, Oklahoma. The family moved to Lee’s Summit, Missouri, shortly after Angela’s birth, and she grew up there with her four siblings. Her sister Audrey Lindvall, an IMG model, died in a bicycling accident in 2006. Although Angela was discovered by a modeling agency at the age of fourteen, she quit modeling shortly after. However, at seventeen, she re-entered the industry, and has been a leading model ever since.
Angela’s modeling portfolio is an extremely diverse and lengthy one. She has graced the covers of the world’s leading fashion magazines, including Elle, Vogue, Marie Claire, Sports Illustrated and Playboy (created by Hugh Hefner). She ahs also been featured in the publications.
Aside from her work modeling for magazines, Angela has also worked extensively as a runway model and a spokesmodel. The fashion creations of Prada, Calvin Klein, Valentino, and Miu Miu have all been worn by Angela on the runway, and she has done ad campaigns for Chanel, Christian Dior, and Tommy Hilfiger. Lindvall has appeared in several fashion shows for Victoria’s Secret.
In 2001, Lindvall made her first movie appearance in the film CQ, which also starred Jeremy Davies and Gerard Depardieu. In 2003 and 2004, she appeared in the short films New York Stories and DKNY Road Stories. The 2005 flick Kiss Kiss Bang Bang was Lindvall’s most critically successful film to date. Nominated for multiple awards, the film received a Satellite Award, an Empire Award, and the San Diego Film Critics Awards for Best Screenplay. Kiss Kiss Bang Bang featured Robert Downey Jr. and Val Kilmer as its stars.
Before her current marriage, Angela had a brief relationship with Billy Zane, one of the stars of the wildly successful film Titanic, which also starred Leonardo DiCaprio and Kate Winslet.
Currently, Angela is happily married to William Edwards, a professional diver. The couple have two sons, William Dakota, born in 2002, and Sebastian, born in 2005.
