Arielle Kebbel

American actress Arielle Kebbel broke onto the acting scene three years ago. Ever since, she has made a name for herself in films such as Soul Plane, Aquamarine, and The Grudge 2.

Arielle Caroline Kebbel was born February 19, 1985 in Winter park, Florida. At the age of seventeen, she graduated from her Crenshaw high school with an impressive 4.3 GPA.

She made her television debut when she guest starred on one episode of CSI: Crime Scene Investigation beside Marg Helgenberger, Jorja Fox, and William Petersen. She continued to land brief television roles on popular series such as Judging Amy and Law & Order: Special Victims Unit until her first film role in 2004. Unfortunately, that film was the widely panned comedy Soul Plane with Tom Arnold, Kevin Hart, Snoop Dogg, and Missi Pyle.

Landing a more substantial and better received gig, Kebbel earned a recurring role on the family drama The Gilmore Girls with leads Lauren Graham and Alexis Bledel. She also earned a small recurring spot on the well-received comedy series Grounded for Life with leads Megyn Price and Donal Logue.

Beginning to earn film roles opposite some of Hollywood’s biggest names, Kebbel earned a role in the 2005 crime comedy Be Cool with John Travolta, Uma Thurman, Vince Vaughn, Christina Milian, Harvey Keitel, Danny DeVito, and many others.

She also won fame among the youth demographic when she appeared in several teen comedies such as American Pie Presents Band Camp with Eugene Levy and Dirty Deeds with Milo Ventimiglia, Lacey Chabert, and Zoe Saldana.

After appearing in a slew of little seen films, Kebbel landed a series of successful projects. The 2006 movie Aquamarine with Emma Roberts, Sara Paxton, and Joanna “JoJo” Levesque kicked off this streak. It continued with John Tucker Must Die opposite Jesse Metcalfe, Brittany Snow, Ashanti, Sophia Bush, and Jenny McCarthy.

Of the three, she received her greatest exposure with the 2006 horror film The Grudge 2 starring Amber Tamblyn, Jennifer Beals, and Sarah Michelle Gellar.

Most recently, Kebbel costarred with Lucy Lawless, Gabrielle Union, James Van Der Beek, and Ving Rhames in Football Wives as well as the mystery thriller Daydreamer.

She currently has three films in post production: Forever Strong, Brooklyn to Manhattan, and A Tale of Two Sisters.

Others may recognize Kebbel for her place on Maxim’s 2005 Hot 100 list as well as being a contestant in 2002’s Miss Florida Teen USA pageant.

Outside of acting, she is heavily involved with the charity “A Place Called Home.”

In her personal life, Kebbel has been romantically linked to her John Tucker costar Metcalfe as well as fellow actor Jared Padalecki. She is currently dating director Brahman Turner.
