Ashley Dupre Biography Before Monday March 10th 2008 the girl with the rather sultry, sexy name was a little know commodity in the world of celebrity until New York’s Governor, Eliot Spitzer stood at the podium and admitted to having had several rendezvous with a high class call girl. Ashley Alexandra Dupre is the 22 year who was born Ashley Youmans and grew up in Seaside Heights and Wall Township by the Jersey Shore. After she finished her sophomore year in high school she moved to North Carolina and her mother described her as ‘a young kid with typical teenage rebellion issues’. In 2006 Dupre changed her name at 17 when she left home and moved to New York City to work the nightclubs as a rhythm and blues singer. Her name change was legal according to records in Monmouth County Superior Court, from Ashley R Youmans to Ashley Rae Maika DiPietro, taking her stepfather’s surname since she regarded him as the only father she had known. While in the Big Apple Ashley rented a ninth-floor apartment in the Flatiron district of Manhattan and soon ran into financial problems while attempting to pursue a music career in 2004. To subsidize her income Dupre worked as a cocktail waitress, hostess and bartender at New York hot spots like Viscaya, Pink Elephant and Retox. She partied with club promoters and bragged about hobnobbing with hip-hoppers like Sean "Diddy" Combs.

Kirsten is a girl who has many more marketable talents than the one she has now become known for. On her MySpace page tells readers that she writes and sings her own songs and at one time she was handpicked by the New York rapper Mysterious to be featured in his video for his track, ‘Pop Off’. In the video, filmed in the summer of 2006 the duo became so close during shooting that they were rumored to be collaborating on other projects together. Among her main musiccal influences Dupré names Etta James, Aretha Franklin, Celine Dion, Christina Aguilera and Frank Sinatra. Ashley’s MySpace page goes as follows: I am all about my music, and my music is all about me. It flows from what I’ve been through, what I’ve seen and how I feel. I live in New York and am on top of the world. Been here since 2004 and I love this city, I love my life here. But, my path has not been easy. When I was 17, I left home. One day, I was in the shower singing “respect.” He and his lead guitarist burst in, had me repeat it and it started. We wrote, rehearsed and toured. After recording a bit with them, I decided to move to Manhattan to pursue my music career. At 22, she was the unwitting star of the seamy drama that was the downfall of Spitzer and the same scandal that removed Spitzer from office had all the potential to install Dupré as a pop star.
