Beverley Mitchell Biography Beverley Mitchell, also known as sweet and spunky teenager-turned wife, mother, and Reverend Lucy Camden Kinkirk on the long-lived, family-friendly TV series 7th Heaven, was born on January 22, 1981, in Arcadia, California, and is a well-known actress and singer. She initially got into acting after being noticed in a mall throwing a temper tantrum. Her debut television role was as Cassie on Big Brother Jake in 1990, which lasted until 1994, after which she appeared in several TV series’ episodes, including Quantum Leap in 1992, Melrose Place in 1994, and Baywatch in 1995.
Mitchell also appeared in a smattering of made-for-TV movies, such as Sinatra in 1992, starring Phillip Casnoff, Olympia Dukakis, Joe Santos, and Gina Gershon; Killing Obsession in 1994, a poorly done thriller featuring Eddie Barth, Kim Chase, Hank Cheyne, Bobby Di Cicco, and Victoria Dillard; and White Dwarf in 1995, opposite Tara Graham and starring Paul Winfield, Neal McDonough, Ele Keats, and Giuseppe Andrews. Her debut big screen film role came in The Crow: City of Angels in 1996, starring Vincent Perez, Mia Kirshner, Richard Brooks, Iggy Pop, and Thomas Jane. Then, later that year, her big break came when she was cast as Lucy Camden in the WB’s new family TV series 7th Heaven, produced by executive producer Aaron Spelling, alongside fellow cast members Stephen Collins, Catherine Hicks, Mackenzie Rosman, David Gallagher, Barry Watson, and Jessica Biel. In 1999, the year when Mitchell officially graduated from high school, twins Lorenzo Brino and Nikolas Brino joined the cast, and in 2002, George Stults came on board to play Lucy’s boyfriend and later, husband.
According to IMDB.com, Mitchell has appeared on every single episode of 7th Heaven, now in its eleventh season, a feat matched by no other cast member, Stephen Collins included. Quite contrary to her role on 7th Heaven, Mitchell has also been featured in two very un-Lucy-ish roles in the recent horror-thriller flicks, Saw II in 2005, with Tobin Bell, Shawnee Smith, Donnie Wahlberg, Erik Knudsen, and Franky G; and I Remember, a thriller yet to be released, co-starring Jamie-Lynn DiScala, Andrew Keegan, and Jeremy London. Interestingly, Mitchell is also a notable and talented singer, and on November 13, 2006 she released her debut album, Beverley Mitchell, featuring the hit single “Angel,” which premiered on the November 5, 2006 episode of 7th Heaven. Mitchell is currently studying film at Loyola Marymount University , a co-educational private Roman Catholic Jesuit university located in Los Angeles, California. She is also engaged to her boyfriend, Michael Cameron, and has been involved with him romantically since 2000. They plan to marry in 2007.
