Caprice Valerie Bourret—who goes simply by the name Caprice, particularly in the U.K.—is a renowned fashion (especially lingerie) model, business woman, singer, and actress. The blonde beauty was born in Hacienda Heights, California, on October 24, 1971, and at age thirteen she became a cheerleader. Modeling didn’t become a major part of her life until she moved to the U.K. in 1996, when she was twenty-five.
When she moved overseas to focus on a modeling career, Caprice acquired a spot in the public’s attention after her eye-catching (albeit revealing) appearance at the British National Television Awards that same year. Soon she became one of the country’s most famous models, particularly for Wonderbra, a modeling gig she reportedly gained as a result of her decision to augment her breasts (now insured for a whopping 50,000 pounds) via implants. She also models for Diet Coke, Pizza Hut, and ParadisePoker.com.
Caprice graced the covers of several fashion and made-for-men magazines, including Cosmopolitan, GQ, Maxim, FHM, Esquire, and Sports Illustrated. Next to modeling, Caprice is perhaps most known for launching her own special line of lingerie in the United Kindom, using her name and image, which has enjoyed much success, propelling the now-business woman to expand her line, now into its sixth season, into the U.S., Canada, and Australia.
As a singer, Caprice has also released two singles, "Oh Yeah" and "Once Around the Sun," the latter of which was co-written with Chesney Hawkes.
The model is also an aspiring actress, having taken successfully to the stage, and also having appeared in a few small films, including 2002’s Nailing Vienna, with James Murray, Daniel O’Meara, Merryn Owen, and Kate Magowan; the 2005 made-for-TV Hollywood Flies, with Antonio Cupo, Bianca Guaccero, Vinnie Jones, and Brad Renfro; Nailing Vienna, and Jinxed in Love. The model-singer-actress most recently starred in Perfect Woman, a 2006 U.K. independent film in which she starred alongside Holly Davidson, Angelica Bridges, David Prowse, Marcus Schenkenberg, and Toby Kebbell. On the small screen, Caprice hosted her own U.K.-based TV series, Caprice’s Travels, in 1998, and in 2005 appeared on Celebrity Big Brother (U.K.) and in The Surreal Life’s fifth season.
Caprice has also hosted a significant number of awards shows. Caprice has become known as a poker player, and recently returned from the World Poker Championship held in Los Angeles, achieving a position of 120 out of a total of 700 players. She beat notable actors Matthew Perry, Ben Affleck, James Woods, and Tobey Maguire.
Caprice was defended by noted celebrity motoring lawyer Nick Freeman for drunk driving, in which she was fined 2,500 pounds and forced to give up her license for a year.
