The other half of the iconic 80s duo, "The Coreys," Corey Feldman was born on July 16, 1971, in Chatsworth, California. Feldman began acting at the young age of three, in a popular commercial for McDonald’s. He went on to appear in various sitcoms throughout the late 70s and early 80s, such as Eight Is Enough, Alice, and Mork & Mindy. By 1981, ten-year-old Feldman had landed a voice role on the animated Disney film, The Fox and the Hound.
At the peak of Feldman’s acting career in the mid-80s, he was sought after to play the role of the precocious tough kid in such blockbusters as Steven Spielberg's Gremlins (1984) and The Goonies (1985). During the filming of The Goonies, Feldman met pop singer Michael Jackson, and the two became friends. Feldman idolized Jackson and was frequently photographed copying the singer’s style of dress. They remained friends until 2001, when Feldman claims that Jackson took off on his tour bus and left him stranded in New York City after 9/11.
In 1986, Feldman starred alongside Wil Wheaton, River Phoenix, Jerry O'Connell, and Kiefer Sutherland in Rob Reiner's Stand By Me. The following year, Feldman acted alongside Kiefer Sutherland again in the cult hit The Lost Boys, which also marked the first tag-team pairing of Feldman with Corey Haim. The highest-paid teen actors of the 80s, Feldman and Haim went on to appear in a series of successful team movies for the rest of the decade, including License to Drive in 1988 and Dream a Little Dream in 1989.
The dawn of the 90s marked the end of "Corey Mania," as the Coreys gradually parted ways professionally. However, they remained close friends, and supported each other through mutual battles with substance abuse. In 1993, Feldman branched out into music by releasing his debut album, Love Left, to poor reviews. The remainder of the 90s saw Feldman keeping a lower profile, starring in the CBS series Dweebs and releasing another album, Still Searching for Soul, with his band, Corey Feldman's Truth Movement.
Feldman reemerged in the spotlight in 2002, starring in the first ever celeb-reality series, The Surreal Life, with Gabrielle Carteris, MC Hammer, Emmanuel Lewis, Jerri Manthey, Vince Neil, and Brande Roderick. While on the show, Feldman married Susie Sprague, with whom he had a son, Zen Scott Feldman, in August 2004. Feldman was previously rumored to have been married to actress Vanessa Marcil for a brief period in the late 80s.
In 2004, Feldman was featured on the documentary My Date With Drew, about a Drew Barrymore fan who challenges himself to land a date with the actress in thirty days. Feldman, who is a friend of Barrymore’s from their shared stints as 80s child stars, proves to be a friendly and helpful connection in the main character’s quest for a date.
In 2005, Feldman made his stage debut to positive reviews in the off-Broadway production Fatal Attraction, a Greek Tragedy. A parody of the 1987 film Fatal Attraction starring Glenn Close and Michael Douglas, Feldman’s lead character is actually named Michael Douglas in the show.
Feldman is currently producing and starring in an upcoming reality TV series with Corey Haim, titled, The Coreys: Return of the Lost Boys, which will feature the Coreys living together as grown adults.
