The breathtaking illusions that made David Copperfield a household name have enthralled fans, causing endless debate as to how such effects could be achieved. He actually made the Statue of Liberty disappear on live television! This spectacle was created by the illusionist Jim Steinmeyer. David’s other feats include levitating over the Grand Canyon and walking through the Great Wall of China. His flying routine, which includes inviting a member of the audience to fly with him, was created by John Gaughan.
David Copperfield is naturally a popular guest on many shows and has done numerous television specials. Talk show hosts love to have him as a guest and he has appeared on The Tonight Show with Jay Leno, the Late Show with David Letterman, Late Night with Conan O Brien, The Tony Danza Show, and Ellen: The Ellen DeGeneres Show.
