Elisabetta Canalis Biography 

During the middle months of 2009 this Italian born TV presenter became one of the most envied women in the world as she became the constant partner of Hollywood’s most eligible bachelor.

Elisabetta Canalis was born on12th September 1978 in Sassari, Sardinia which is a part of Italy, with a special statute of regional autonomy under the Italian Constitution. Her parents are, mother Cesare, an Italian literature teacher and father Bruna, a radiologist in Sassari's University clinic. Elisabetta has a brother named Luigi.

After graduating from high school Elisabetta made her way to Milan where she attended Universita Statale and studied foreign languages and it was while she was at university in 1999 that she auditioned for a role in a popular Italian TV show called Striscia la Notizia. In the show she played the role of Velina for three years which saw her becoming a celebrity in her hole country.

Canalis’ acting career consequently appeared in many other shows, movies and popular TV series and she went on to host the sports show Controcampo, where she commentated on the European game of soccer.

 Elisabetta Canalis’ acting career saw her filling a role in "Deuce Bigelow 2 - The European Gigolo" in 2004, "Decameron. Angels & Virgins" in 2005, "Natale a New York" in 2006 completed a role in  "Fidanzata di papa, in 2008.

Along with acting, TV presenting and commentating, Elisabetta has also added to her resume, model. She has been the celebrity endorser of renowned brands such as 'Loveable brand of glasses'; Fresh Look colored contact lens of Ciba Vision; famous Italian brand of bags and fashion accessories of Italian brand 'Segue' and an Anglo-Indian John Richmond brand of underwear, beachwear and glasses.

Not only did Elisabetta present sports shows on TV she is also a keen sportswoman in her own life pursing activities such as swimming, kickboxing, horse riding and dancing.

In her personal life Canalis has been romantically involved with Reginaldo of Parma Football Club. She has had high profile relationship for four years from 2000-2004 with the football striker, Christian Vieri who’s career took him to Atlanta.

But it is probably her relationship with Hollywood hunk, and former boyfriend of Las Vegas cocktail waitress, Sarah Larson, George Clooney that has really put Canalis on the celebrity map in the USA and UK with several outings by her and George being snapped by the paps.

In early September 2009 George walked arm in arm along the red carpet at the Venice Film Festival with Elisabetta, fueling speculation that she may just be the woman to tame this Hollywood bachelor.
