Known most famously for being the girl with the perfect body, the red swimsuit and the floatation board in her role as a lifeguard on the Californian Pacific coast along with Gena Lee Nolin, Donna DErrico and David Hasselhoff.

Erika Eleniak was born in California on September 29^th 1969 into a family of four daughters and one son. Her parents were of eastern European heritage, although her father was actually born in Canada. While still attending Van Nuys High School, Van Nuys, California, and after her parents divorced, Erika’s father had a relationship with a women in the movie business who introduced Erika to the film industry when she secured her a role as a child model in a television commercial in the late 1970’s. This led her to greater things when she appeared in a bit part in the Steven Spielberg box office hit,‘E.T'. in 1982 as a girl who was kissed by Elliott. During her early years in Hollywood Erika fell victim to the drug and alcohol scene but after some help from a friend, who eventually went on to marry her mother Iris, Erika gained control of her life once again.For a short while, when appearing in the television series ‘Charles in Charge’ Erika not only appeared with Scott Baio on screen but also dated him off screen.

It was her appearance on the cover of Hugh Hefner’s Playboy magazine in 1989 that really brought her to the attention of the powers that be in Hollywood and after she auditioned for the role of Shauni McClain in ‘Baywatch’ she was finally offered the part. After leaving ‘Baywatch’ when her position as a lifeguard was taken over by Pamela Anderson in 1992, Eleniak landed a small role in the movie ’Under Siege’ where she was a striptease artist in a birthday celebration on the submarine captained by Steven Siegel and Tommy Lee Jones.

This role was followed by Erika’s portrayal of Elly May Clampett in the 1993 version of ‘The Beverly Hillbillies’ but the success of the movie was no where near as great as ‘Under Siege’ but undeterred she went on to win the role of in the romantic comedy ‘Chasers’ which starred Dennis Hopper and Tom Berenger. The movie saw the start of a relationship between fellow actor, William McNamara and Erika whom she became engaged to but never married. However, on May 22nd, 1998 she married her first husband,

Phillip Goglia and while she was married she was known as Erika Eleniak-Goglia. The relationship was short and they divorced soon after.

Erika continued her acting career starring in ‘One Hot Summer Night in 1998 and with Barry Bostwick, ‘Final Voyage’ and ‘Stealth Fighter’ in 1999 with Ice-T and ‘City of Dreams’ 2001 with Angelica Bridges.

With weight issues a problem throughout her life her weight reduced and ballooned over a period of years and in 2006 she had become so overweight that she participated in the fourth season of VH1's reality television series ‘Celebrity Fit Club’. She lost 31 pounds over the course of the show.

In 2004 Erika took the plunge once more and married her second husband Roch Daigle with whom she had one daughter. Erika continues to act in made for TV movies such as ‘Breakaway’ in 2002 with Dean Cain, ‘Betrayal’ in 2003 alongside Adam Baldwin and in ‘Dracula 3000’ in 2004.
