Heather Locklear was born on September 25, 1961, in sunny Westwood, California. She attended UCLA in the 1970s and simultaneously began her modeling and acting careers. After making appearances on shows such as Chips and Eight is Enough, her Hollywood prayers were answered via a phone call from Aaron Spelling. Spelling saw something in Locklear that he knew would capture American audiences, and he quickly cast her as Sammy Jo in what would become one of history’s most famous nighttime dramas, Dynasty. Heather Locklear lived up to Aaron Spelling’s expectations and he later also cast her as Stacy Sheridan on the show TJ Hooker.

In 1993, Heather Locklear won the guest star role of Amanda Woodward on the Emmy award winning Melrose Place, where she kept everyone on the edge of their seats with scandal and deception for six years. When the Melrose Place era came to a close, Heather Locklear had the show Spin City, with Michael J Fox, waiting anxiously at her doorstep. Locklear was nominated four years in a row for Best Actress in a TV Drama for her star performance on Melrose Place. She was also featured in Playboy’s 1984 Women of TV issue.

Heather Locklear has had her fair share of rock ‘n’ roll relationships. She married the famous Motley Crue drummer, Tommy Lee, in 1986. Heather and Tommy divorced in 1993, after he unfaithfully made his big screen debut in a porn movie directed by Ron Jeremy. Tommy Lee married Playboy Supermodel Pamela Anderson just two years later. Heather Locklear later met Richie Sambora of Bon Jovi (who also has been linked to Cher) and became a rockstar wife once again in Paris on December 17, 1994. Locklear and Sambora gave birth to their beautiful daughter, Ava Elizabeth, on October 4, 1997.

In February of 2006, Heather Locklear and Richie Sambora officially filed for divorce in California after being separated since December 2005. Sambora is enforcing the couple’s pre-nuptial agreement, signed just one day before their wedding. In a very Melrose Place-ish manner, Sambora has been spotted flaunting his newest romantic interest, Denise Richards, who was once known as one of Heather Locklear’s closest friends. Denise Richards, like Locklear, has also been featured in Playboy magazine. Richards, a former Bond girl, is estranged from ex-husband Charlie Sheen, with whom she has two daughters. Heather Locklear is now dating long-time friend and comedian David Spade of Just Shoot Me.
