Heidi Montag Biography

This young reality television starlet is known for a number of “accomplishments,” most notably for starring in the MTV reality T.V. program The Hills (in which she plays herself, of course), for a rumored fake engagement to her Hills co-star Spencer Pratt, for attempting to double as a successful musician/singer, and for her boob job and nose job. 

Heidi Montag, born in Crested Butte, Colorado on September 15, 1986, first broke into the limelight as a friend of Lauren Conrad, the star of the reality show Laguna Beach: The Real Orange County. Montag, along with Conrad and others in their “circle,” was periodically filmed by MTV beginning in summer 2005, and Montag ended up scoring an occasional, recurring role on the second season of Laguna Beach, after which she landed a main character role on The Hills, a spin-off of Laguna Beach, focusing on Conrad and her friends in Los Angeles.

The Hills, which features Natasha Bedingfield’s hit single “Unwritten” and Audrina Patridge and Whitney Port as the other main characters, premiered on May 31, 2006. Montag, who works for Bolthouse Productions as an event planner, used to share an apartment with Conrad, but moved out to live with boyfriend (and supposed fiancé) Spencer Pratt (also on the show).

However, since the big “move” and subsequent engagement—which was announced in May 2007 and is still being debated as possibly fake—Montag’s future on The Hills is up in the air. In fact, Patridge has commented she no longer has anything to do with Montag. Montag, naturally, has back-up plans in case The Hills goes to pot for her, including taking acting classes (something all reality T.V. “stars” should seriously consider!), and, of course, producing a number of “hit albums.” Good luck with that. However, the young starlet has reportedly been working on her first album—which she says will be very sexual (after all, what else could she possibly have to offer?)—since February 2007 alongside producer David Foster. She has, in fact, released the song “Body Language,” on which Pratt raps, although the song is reportedly not to be considered her first single, although it was premiered on Ryan Seacrest’s radio show.  

Before Pratt, Montag dated Jordan Eubanks, and their relationship was a major part of The Hills’ first season. But now Montag fans are still wondering whether her engagement to Pratt is real or not. Two things about Montag that are definitely not real? Her breasts and her nose; the “actress-singer” admitted to both a boob and a nose job from spring 2007.

In 2009 Heidi made headlines in the gossip blogs again as she agreed to appear in Hugh Hefner's Playboy magazine for the Septembr '09 issue.
