As far as bunnies go, this one has a lot more to her than cute floppy ears and a powder puff tail! And with whatever it is she does have, she has managed to captivate the twice married heart of Playboy Empire owner, Hugh Hefner.

Holly Madison was actually born Holly Cullen in Astoria, Oregon on December 23rd 1979. Her father worked in the timber industry and as such moved around a considerable amount and took the family to Prince of Wales Island, Alaska when Holly was just two years old and where she remained until she was eleven years old.

By the time Holly was 11 the family had moved back to St Helens, Oregon but she only stayed there until she was 20 at which time she landed a place at Loyola Marymount University in Los Angeles, California. Not surprising, in an effort to make money during her student years, Holly worked at Hooters and competed to become a Hawaiian Tropic model.

With a minor modeling career under way Holly was invited to the Playboy Mansion in Beverly Hills but initially Holly went unnoticed by Hugh Hefner who at that time already had a complete harem of seven other girls.

Bu August 2001 Holly become Hef’s Alpha Bunny and had moved into the mansion to became one of Hef’s official girlfriends snuggling up at nights as the only bunny in his hutch. Hefner's two other girlfriends, Bridget Marquardt and Kendra Wilkinson, have their own bedrooms down the hallway.

Since beginning her modeling career Holly has undergone cosmetic surgery to her nose and breast augmentation, going from an A cup breast to a D cup and makes no secret of the operations.

Safely installed in the mansion saw Holly appearing regularly in Playboy magazine firstly in a pictorial for Cyber Girl of the Week and on November 2005’s issue where she graces the cover of the magazine with Bridget and Kendra and again on cover of the September 2006’s issue of Playboy magazine.

In 2005 Holly starred in season three of the show, The Girls Next Door a reality show featuring all three of Hef’s special girls. During the episode "My Bare Lady," Holly stated that she wants to have a career producing Playboy spreads. During seasons three and four, Holly has been shown working at the Playboy studios as an intern and later a junior editor. She also helped design and put together the girls' 2008 The Girls Next Door calendar.

Being an animal lover prompted Holly to join the campaign against real fur in the fashion industry and in April 2007, she was featured naked in a PETA advertisement, alongside the slogan "I'd Rather Go Naked Than Wear Fur". She keeps good company in this campaign being joined by Heather Mills and Eva Mendes.

In April 2006 the second series of The Girls Next Door began shooting followed by series three and four in 2007. These series covered both Hef’s 80^th birthday, a trip to Europe and Kendra’s 21^st birthday.

Holly frequently stated during interviews that she would like to have children with Hugh despite the fact that he is still legally married to his second wife Kimberly Conrad Hefner. Although Hefner refers to Holly as ‘the love of his life’ he still insists he has no desire to marry.

Rumours abounded in early 2008 that Holly may be pregnant when she missed Kendra’s 22^nd birthday party and passed on the wine while visiting Monaco where she also wore lose fitting clothes, not normally seen on the glamour model.

A semi clothed sighting of Holly Madison could be seen on the cover of Playboy magazine March 2008 where once again she was featured alongside the other two Girls Next Door, Kendra and Bridget.

Although Holly had wnated to marry Hugh and eventually have children with him, it wasn't to be and   late 2008 Holly called it a day on the relationship she hoped would bring her happiness.
