Ivana Trump was born Ivana Marie Zelníčková in the former communist block country Czechoslovakia on February 20^th 1949. Growing up in Gottwaldov, Czechoslovakia, a town just south of Prague, as a child, her father noticed her athletic talent and especially her skill on the slopes. He focused on her skiing and at the age of six, he enrolled her the ski circuit and she won the first downhill race she competed in. At this time her father felt that she needed more concentrated training and Ivana joined a very strict Communist training camp for child athletes when she was just twelve years old.  

Ivana skied competitively during her years at high school and continued competing for her country after she graduated from university with a Master’s Degree in physical education and languages. It was while skiing and attending Charles University in Prague that she met professional skier George Syrovatka who was also a member of the Czech ski team and who owned a sports store in Canada. I

Ivana began dating Donald and in 1976 she divorced George and a year later she married Donald in a lavish society wedding. Thereafter the couple became leading figures in New York’s high society and together they had three children, Donald Jr, Ivanka and Eric. The following years saw Ivana taking a leading role in the Trump Organization and became Vice President of Interior Design for the company. She was responsible for spearheading design of the Taj Mahal Hotel and Casino in Atlantic City. Her successful results from this project put Ivana firmly on the business radar and in 1990, Donald once again employed her skills in the restoration of the Plaza Hotel in Manhattan.Although Donald had every confidence in Ivana as a business woman, his interest in her as his wife began to wain amid rumours of his ongoing affair with a former beauty queen, Marla Maples. In 1991 Ivana filed for divorce.

With the settlement from the divorce Ivana went on to make her mark independently in the business world with her line of clothing, fashion jewelry, beauty products and perfume. Another talent that came to the fore after her divorce was her writing skills which led to her penning several bestselling books including, ‘The Best is Yet to Come’, ‘Free to Love’ and ‘For Love Alone’.Within a short time after her divorce from Donald Trump, Ivana remarried, this time to Riccardo Mazzucchelli but the marriage ended in divorce within two years amid a $15 million dollar law suit. Since that time Ivana has found friendship with an Italian model, at least twenty years her junior, Rossano Rubicondi.

With her own brand of celebrity and as a role model to other divorced women, Ivana is always in demand for speeches and public appearances. In 1996 she had a cameo in ‘The First Wives Club’ starring Bette Midler, Goldie Hawn and Diane Keaton. In 2006 Ivana appeared in ‘Ivana Young Men’ with Jeff Lindell and in 1998 her book ‘For Love Alone’ was made into a TV movie and starred British actor Trevor Eve and Ivana as herself.

Ivana Trump became a grandmother when Vanessa Haydon Trump, wife of Donald Jr., gave birth to a girl, Kai Madison Trump, on May 12, 2007.

Ivana has been conducting her own romantic relationship for the past 6 years with Italian actor, Rossano Rubicondi, 36, and at the age of 59 she and her beau were married. The ceremony took place at Long Beach, California in April 2008 with her ex husband Donald and his new wife Melania in attendance. The groom had inexplicably chosen the theme from Rocky for the wedding song and Ivana's son gave his mother away, stating in his speech that the Italian had better live up to his duties as a husband with a veiled threat, “You better treat her right, because I have a .45 and a shovel.”
