Jack OsbourneAdrenaline junkie Jack Osbourne was born on November 8, 1985, in London, England. As the son of rocker Ozzy Osbourne, he made his debut in the spotlight during his late teens, when his family became the subject of a celeb-reality show, The Osbournes. The show, which chronicled the day-to-day lives of Jack, his sister, Kelly Osbourne; mother, Sharon Osbourne; and father, Ozzy; pioneered the celebrity reality-TV genre, and paved the way for such other shows as Hulk Hogan’s Hogan Knows Best and Danny Bonaduce’s Breaking Bonaduce. The Osbournes also revealed the family to be anything-but-typical, yet ultimately a close-knit family. However healthy the Osbournes seemed as a family unit, Jack, was battling the demons of addiction behind the scenes; making headlines in 2003 when he was admitted to rehab for an addiction to OxyContin. Once out of rehab, Osbourne made a foray into film, landing a small part in 2004 film New York Minute, starring Mary-Kate Olsen, Ashley Olsen, Eugene Levy, and Bob Saget. In addition to acting, Osbourne has also been a co-host on the ITV2 show, Celebrity Wrestling: Bring It On!, as well as a talent scout for Epic Records, and an assistant in managing his father's annual touring festival, Ozzfest. Osbourne began working during his late teens, and has just recently been studying towards earning his GED.
Osbourne decided to take a break from dabbling in show business a few years ago to train at a martial arts camp in Thailand. After losing a significant amount of weight (not to mention his trademark frizzy locks), Osbourne competed in a charity boxing tournament for Sport Relief, beating out former S Club 7 member Bradley McIntosh. In 2005, Osbourne landed his own show, Jack Osbourne: Adrenaline Junkie. The show features Osbourne training for extreme sports such as rock climbing and mountaineering, and recently featured Osbourne achieving one of his most ambitious goals – climbing El Capitan. After completing the first season of the show, Osbourne began appearing on Saturday morning kids' show Holly & Stephen's Saturday Showdown, which has since gone off the air. Osbourne has most recently starred alongside Trish Stratus, Eric Estrada, Jason Acuna (Wee Man), and La Toya Jackson in the new CBS reality show Armed and Famous. The show features its stars in training as rookie police officers, patrolling the streets of Muncie, Indiana. Some residents of Muncie are said to be nervous that the show will mock or exploit their small-town ways. YUDDY |
