Jade Jagger Born into fame, jewelry designer Jade Jagger began her life in the spotlight. It proved unavoidable when her father was Rolling Stones front man Mick Jagger and her mother was party girl turned human rights activist Bianca Jagger. Jade Sheena Jezebel Jagger, known simply as Jade Jagger, was born October 21, 1971 in Paris, France. She is of both English and Nicaraguan extraction. Growing up in London, Jagger spent the beginning of her life in the high end Cheyne Walk. That life was upset, however, when her parents divorced. She was not even ten years old. Jagger was left with her mother, Bianca, to be raised in Manhattan. Busy with her social and professional life, it was common for Jagger to be babysat by Bianca’s good friend, Andy Warhol. Attending the Spence School, Jagger was eventually moved to St Mary’s boarding school, an all-girls institution located in Calne, England. Sneaking out to meet her boyfriend, Josh Astor, proved the last straw. She lasted two years, but at age sixteen, found herself expelled.
Two years later, she met Piers Jackson at Cambridge. They began an eight-year relationship that never resulted in marriage, but did produce two daughters. Assisi Lola Jackson was born in 1992, while Amba Isis Jackson was born four years later. Since the couple went their separate ways, Jagger has been romantically linked with several high profile men. These include Ben Elliot, Dan Macmillan, and Euan McDonald. Arguably the most publicized relationship was that with rap star Pharrell Williams. On the professional front, Jagger served a ten year stint as the Creative Director at Garrard, a high end English jewelry firm. After designing successfully for a decade, she decided it was time to move on in 2006. Jagger is also praised for her brief work in the interior design sector. She is credited with the fine work at the “Jade” condos in Chelsea, New York City. They opened to residents at the end of 2006. In the film realm, Jagger had a brief appearance in the documentary Being Mick, which centered on her father. Other star cameos included Bono, Hugh Grant, Bob Geldof, Jerry Hall, Elton John, Lenny Kravitz, Sting, Britney Spears, and others.
Jagger currently resides on the island of Ibiza on the Mediterranean. She lives there with her two children and her longtime boyfriend, Dan Williams. She also developed a business concept entitled “Jezebel.” Promoting an actual lifestyle, Jagger’s project fuses many different creative aspects including music, remixes, art, clothing, and fashion. While Jagger has no whole siblings, she does have numerous half siblings including Karis Jagger, Elizabeth Jagger, James Jagger, Georgia Jagger, Gabriel Jagger, and Lucas Morad Jagger. |
