Jaime Bergman Biography American actress and model Jaime Bergman is most known for her work with Playboy magazine. Making the transition into acting as well, Bergman is also noted for her time with the comedy spoof Son of the Beach from 2000 to 2002. Finding herself in the limelight for reasons other than her professional career, Bergman also made headlines with her 2001 marriage to one of Hollywood’s hottest up and coming actors.
Jaime Bergman was born September 23, 1975 in Salt Lake City, Utah. Growing up in Utah, Bergman obtained her initial education from West Jordan High School. She graduated in 1993. Not surprisingly, Bergman was a cheerleader during her time at West Jordan. Beginning her career in modeling, Bergman is perhaps best known for her time with Hugh Hefner’s Playboy magazine. For her repeated and well-received work with the publication, Bergman was named Playmate of the Month in January of 1999. In this year, she also diversified her interests by making her onscreen debut in Speedway Junkie. Playing a very minor role, it was still good experience for the young actress. Specifically, it afforded her the opportunity to appear beside Jesse Bradford, Jonathan Taylor Thomas, Daryl Hannah, and Tiffani Thiessen.
She followed with another bit role in 1999’s Any Given Sunday beside celebs Al Pacino, Cameron Diaz, Dennis Quaid, James Woods, and Jamie Foxx. 1999 was also a big commercial year for Bergman. She increased her exposure greatly by becoming the St Pauli Girl beer spokesmodel. But it was 2000 that offered Bergman her first recurring role on a television series. Playing BJ Cummings on the Baywatch parody Son of the Beach, Bergman led the cast until the show’s conclusion in 2002. (Her character spoofed the Pamela Anderson Baywatch equivalent CJ Parker.) Bergman shared the screen with fellow series regulars Roland Kickinger, Leila Arcieri, Kimberly Oja, and Timothy Stack. Finding roles in well-received films hard to come by, Bergman eventually appeared in the critical flop Pauly Shore Is Dead with Camille Anderson and Susan Berger. She followed up with several more tepidly received projects in film and television. Her latest project was in 2004’s sci-fi thriller Boa vs. Python. Unfortunately for everyone involved, the film was panned by nearly all who saw it. In her personal life, Bergman married fellow actor David Boreanaz on November 24, 2001. They welcomed their first child, Jaden Rayne, on May 1, 2002. The couple is currently still together.
Before her time with Bones heartthrob Boreanaz, Bergman was also romantically linked to blockbuster director Michael Bay. |
