Jaime Lynn Pressly is a multi-talented gymnast, turned dancer, turned model, turned Emmy Award nominated actress.

Pressly was born on July 30, 1977, in Kinston, North Carolina. She has one brother and one sister, Jim and Jessie. Throughout her childhood, Pressly studied both gymnastics and dance. By the time she reached the age of fourteen she was asked to become the spokeswoman for International Cover Model Search, which was her modeling agency at the time.

Following her parents divorce, Pressly moved with her mom to California where she attended Costa Mesa High School. By the time she reached the age of fifteen, Pressly legally emancipated herself from her parents.

Pressly began her career in acting as Drew Barrymore’s body double for the film Poison Ivy in 1992. She was then asked to star in the sequel, Poison Ivy: The New Seduction in 1997. Shortly after that, Pressly was cast on the show Jack & Jill in 1999, starring Amanda Peet and Ivan Sergei.

Other films Pressley has starred in include: Poor White Trash; Torque in 2004, alongside Ice Cube; and Not Another Teen Movie in 2001, co-starring Chris Evans and Eric Christian Olsen.

While working on Jack & Jill, Pressly began dating one of her co-stars, Simon Rex, from 2000 to 2001. He then reportedly dumped Pressly on her birthday. Following Rex, Pressly dated MTV VJ, Carson Daly. Rumors have also circulated over the years that she was previously married to someone named Brodie Mitchell back in 1998. Pressly claims that she has never met him before.

She is currently engaged to DJ Eric Cubiche, who she has been dating for the past year and a half, and is expecting her first child Spring 2007. 

Besides acting, Pressly has continued her modeling work as well. In 2001 she became the spokes-model for Liz Claiborne cosmetics. She has also posed nude for Playboy on more than one occasion in the March 1998 and February 2004 issues. Her body has earned her the #8 ranking for Stuff magazine’s 102 Sexiest Women in the World list in 2002. She was later ranked #34 on Maxim magazine’s Hot 100 list in 2006.

Other business endeavors include a clothing line launched in 2003, J’Aime, which has been developed into a full line of sleep-wear, lingerie, and ready-to-wear clothing. She has also performed with the band The Pussycat Dolls.

Currently, Pressly stars on the NBC sitcom, My Name is Earl starring Jason Lee. In 2006, she received an Emmy nomination for Outstanding Supporting Actress in a Comedy for her role on the show.
