Jillian Barberie One of the best looking weather forecasters in the business, Jillian Barberie has spiced up weather and news reports with her fashionable style and good looks. She can currently be seen on the Los Angeles news program, Good Day L.A.
Jillian Warry was born on September 26, 1966, in Burlington, Ontario. She has said that while living in Canada she suffered from Seasonal Affective Disorder. By the time she reached college she knew she wanted to be on the news and began studying broadcast journalism at Mohawk College of Applied Arts and Technology in Hamilton, Ontario.
Following college, Jillian moved to the United States, and began working at a variety of television stations, the first being WSVN in Miami, which is an affiliate of Fox. She then moved to Los Angeles and began working at KTTV. She is probably best known for her work now on Good Day L.A., where she is the weather woman and fashion expert.
In 1996 Jillian married Bret Barberie, who was a major league baseball player. Although she has kept his last name, the couple divorced in 2002. She then married Grant Reynolds in July of 2006, and is in the process of having her last name legally changed to Reynolds. She will keep Barberie though, as her professional last name.
Hollywood quickly took a liking to Jillian, in part due to her good looks, and she began earning roles on several television shows, including Melrose Place. In 1998, Barberie made several appearances on the show VIP, starring Pamela Anderson. She has also co-hosted Regis Philbin’s New Year’s Eve special in 2005.
She has had several co-hosting and guest appearance for various events including a spot as a celebrity judge for the Miss USA contest in 2006. Also in 2006, Barberie worked as a contestant on the Fox show Skating with Celebrities, with her partner John Zimmerman. Although Barberie was a skater as a child, the pair lost in the end.
By 2000, Jillian received a job working with Fox Sports presenting the weather for the Fox NFL Sunday pre-game show. This gig had Jillian working alongside James Brown, Howie Long, and Terry Bradshaw and gave her national exposure.
In her spare time, Jillian works with animal rights groups to prevent cruelty to animals. She currently owns nine adopted pets including a few dogs and a rabbit, which she rescued from animal shelters. One of her dogs, Teddy, makes frequent appearances on Good Day L.A. YUDDY |
