Jordan Glamour model Jordan was born Katie Infield on May 22, 1978, in Newport, Wales. Jordan grew up in Brighton, Sussex, England; and took her mother’s surname, Price, after her biological parents split. Jordan began modeling at a young age upon a friend’s suggestion that she have some photos professionally taken. The photos were then sent to a modeling agency in London, which promptly signed Jordan. Before long, she began modeling topless for the British weekly paper, The Sun, and took on the name Jordan.
With her star on the rise from her exposure in the weeklies, Jordan decided to opt for breast augmentation, increasing her cup size from a B to a buxom D. The Sun, however, has since opted for a "natural beauty" policy in its pages, requiring its topless models to be silicone-free. Jordan’s new look did not hamper her appearances in other magazines, however. Playboy, FHM, Maxim, Front, Zoo, Sky, Esquire, Loaded, Ice, and Elle have all featured the model in their pages. Jordan made a foray into politics in 2001, running as a candidate in the British general election as Katie Price: "For a Bigger and Betta Future." Opposed to flat political platforms, Jordan promised free breast implants as part of her campaign, and racked up 1.8% of the vote. In 2004, Jordan starred on the British reality-TV series I'm a Celebrity, Get Me out of Here! On the show, Jordan spent a lot of time flirting with singer, Peter Andre. The pair soon began dating, and starred in a series of reality documentaries as well as music videos. In May 2004, Jordan published her best-selling book of memoirs, Being Jordan, which became the fourth best-selling autobiography of all time in the United Kingdom. Her second autobiography, Jordan: A Whole New World, was published in 2006, despite her claim one year prior that she would be retiring the Jordan name and image. She followed up a few months later with her first foray into fiction writing, a novel titled Angel, and also has plans to release a children’s book in 2007.
In November 2006, Jordan and Peter Andre released an album of duets, titled A Whole New World, with all proceeds going to charity. Jordan and Andre are also in talks to host their own talk show, expected to premiere in 2007. Meanwhile, Jordan is also busy penning an advice column in OK! magazine. On May 27, 2002, Jordan welcomed the birth of her son, Harvey, whose father is Sunderland footballer, Dwight Yorke. Blind since birth, Harvey suffers from septo-optic dysplasia. Also in 2002, Jordan was treated for a rare form of malignant tumor, which was removed from her finger. On June 13, 2005, Jordan welcomed the birth of a second son, Junior Savva Andre. Three months later, she married her boyfriend and father of her child, Peter Andre, in a high-profile wedding at Highclere Castle, Hampshire. Bridesmaids included Atomic Kitten singer, Kerry Katona, and Girls Aloud singer, Sarah Harding. Jordan and Andre are expecting their second child in the summer of 2007. Jordan and Andre welcomed the birth of their third child, a daughter, whom they lavishly named Princess Tiaamii, on June 29th 2007. Later that year Price underwent surgery in the U.S. to reduce the size of her breast implants but was not impressed with the results and returned to the USA in 2008 to have them further reduced. In early 2008 Katie was citisized for talking on Prime Time British television, about a sex act she favoured. The item was aired on a childrens television programme Blue Peter in a clip advertising her new role as safe sex spokeswoman. YUDDY |
