Kelly LeBrock It's hard to believe that the woman that once was known best for uttering "Don't hate me because I'm beautiful" somehow ended up on Celebrity Fit Club. Yet, that best describes what happened to Kelly LeBrock as she went from a modeling career to acting, to being a spokesperson for hair products, to leaving it all behind as a mom. LeBrock was born March 24, 1960, in New York, New York, although her parents, a French-Canadian father and Irish mother, moved the family to Hastings, East Sussex, United Kingdom, where LeBrock grew up. She was just sixteen when she became a model after an education obtained from boarding schools. It was also at this age that she was raped by a man at his home after he slipped something into her drink.
Signed by the Ford Modeling Agency, LeBrock appeared in several magazines, both inside and on covers, and by the age of twenty, she was a millionaire. It was around this time she became a regular at Studio 54, and had relationships with both Jack Nicholson and Rod Stewart. Stewart was also seeing Kelly Enberg at the time, and he often referred to them as Kelly Number One and Kelly Number Two. Recently, supermodel and reality television star Janice Dickinson has reported in her autobiography, No Lifeguard: The Accidental Life of the World's First Supermodel, that she, too, had an affair with LeBrock, along with many others. LeBrock married Victor Drai in 1984, and that same year, he also produced her first movie, The Woman In Red, in which she appeared with Gene Wilder and Charles Grodin. A year later she became the science project come to life in Weird Science, starring with Anthony Michael Hall. A few years later she married her bodyguard, Steven Seagal, a martial artist and actor, and together they had three children. In 1990, husband and wife starred in Hard to Kill together, and LeBrock also starred in a series of commercials for Pantene hair products, saying the now-famous line, "Don't hate me because I'm beautiful." In 1993, LeBrock starred with Helen Slater and Billy Zane in Betrayal of the Dove, and also voiced Clara in a made-for-televsion animated version of David Copperfield. A few years passed, and LeBrock appeared in the films Hard Bounty and Tracks of a Killer. Amid several reports that Seagal was violent with her and was molesting young ingénues, LeBrock served her husband with divorce papers on Halloween of 1996.
After her divorce, LeBrock had a relationship with Roger Moore's son, and since 2001, has been living with a retired investment broker. They live on a ranch in Santa Ynez, California, with her children from her marriage to Seagal, and several animals. She is now enjoying a resurgence in her career after appearing on VH-1's Celebrity Fit Club with Jeff Conaway and Chastity Bono, losing more than thirty pounds, doing modeling again, as well as working on a few movies that are expected to be released soon.
