Kendra Wilkinson Biography

American television personality Kendra Wilkinson broke into the public eye in 2004 when she officially became a Playboy “Bunny.” Since, she has increased her exposure with various bit roles in television and film. She also landed roles in several music videos.

Kendra Leigh Wilkinson was born June 12, 1985 in San Diego, California. Her parents are Patti Wilkinson and Eric Wilkinson. Her mother was a successful NFL cheerleader. Her father, on the other hand, was not part of her life. He left when Wilkinson was only four years old.

Wilkinson was subsequently raised in Clairemont where she attended Clairemont High School. During this time, she was an avid softball player.

Upon graduating high school, Wilkinson did not pursue a secondary education. Rather, she began modeling. In order to pay the bills, she also took a part-time job as a dental assistant.

Wilkinson’s first step into the limelight came in April of 2004. In that month, she landed a job as a “painted girl” for Hugh Hefner’s seventy-eighth birthday. As the rumor goes, Hefner had seen one of Wilkinson’s photos and specifically requested she fulfill this role at his birthday party.

Before long, Wilkinson was invited by the Playboy mogul to live in his Playboy Mansion as one of his girlfriends.

Translating her Playboy notoriety into a fledgling acting career, Wilkinson made her onscreen debut in 2005 with a one-episode appearance on Las Vegas. Playing a waitress, she shared the screen with James Caan, Josh Duhamel, Nikki Cox, and Molly Sims.

She followed with another one-episode appearance opposite Kevin Connolly, Adrian Grenier, and Kevin Dillon in Entourage.

She switched genres in late 2005 with an appearance on the comedy series Curb Your Enthusiasm. The acclaimed series starred Larry David, Cheryl Hines, and Jeff Garlin.

Arguably her biggest exposure as an actress came in 2006 when she played the “girl next door” in Scary Movie 4. Anna Faris, Regina Hall, Craig Bierko, Bill Pullman, and others took starring roles.

On the music video front, Wilkinson has appeared in “Smack That” from Akon and “Rockstar” from Nickelback.

Others may recognize Wilkinson for her turn in Celebrity Rap Superstar. She came in second behind Shar Jackson. She is also well-known for The Girls Next Door.

Not always aspiring to be a “Bunny,” Wilkinson has stated in interviews that she wishes to become a sports announcer or massage therapist.

To that end, she increased her credibility with a regular blog for the Philadelphia Eagles football team.

In her personal life, Wilkinson has two dogs—Raskal and Martini.

In addition to her relationship with Hefner, Wilkinson has also been romantically linked to Brian Sawyer.
