Kristen was born in Colorado on April 9, 1990, to her father, John Stewart, and her mother. She was raised in Los Angeles and has one older brother, Cameron.
Kristen’s career really began in 1999 when she had a small part in the TV movie The Thirteenth Year, which was followed in 2001 by The Safety of Objects.
In 2002 Kristen replaced actress Hayden Panetierre in Panic Room, where she starred with Forest Whitaker when she landed the role of Sarah Altman, the daughter of Jodie Foster’s Meg Altman. With the praise of Hollywood critics she went on to play Kristen Tilson in the thriller Cold Creek Manor with two more Hollywood greats, Sharon Stone and Dennis Quaid.
Kristen’s best received film early in her career was in the TV film Speak, in which she played a teenage rape victim, a character who only had a few lines in the movie, but whose performance was praised by Hollywood.
Another film destined to star Kristen is What Just Happened, a Hollywood drama based on the book by producer Art Linson, starring Robert De Niro, Bruce Willis, and Sean Penn.
