Layla Kayleigh Biography
English born television personality Layla Kayleigh is known for her modeling work as well as her appearances on programs such as Attack of the Show and The Best Damn Sports Show Period. Most recently, she has teamed up with the newest televised competition, America’s Best Dance Crew.
Layla Kayleigh was born January 26, 1984 in South London, England. She is of Middle Eastern, African, Mediterranean, and European descent.
When Kayleigh was only twelve years old, her mother moved to the United States in an attempt to secure citizenship for both Kayleigh and herself. Kayleigh never told anyone she was living alone in fear that social services would step in on her behalf.
Kayleigh’s first television appearance came as the host of the British MTV2 football halftime show. She was also a part of Current TV as a correspondent. Many may know this show for being the brainchild of former vice president to the Bill Clinton administration, Al Gore.
Kayleigh’s tenure with the show was ultimately short-lived, however, as she found herself fired not long after landing the gig. Having posed for Maxim, she was deemed inappropriate for the program. Other hosts include Nzinga Blake, Elizabeth Chambers, Crystal Fambrini, and many others.
In 2007, she landed her first truly notable gig with Attack of the Show. She served as co-host along with Blair Butler, Chris Gore, Olivia Munn, and Zach Selwyn.
Others may know Kayleigh for her turn with The Best Damn Sports Show Period. She shared the screen with fellow correspondent Tom Arnold.
Her television credits also include the talk-show Red Eye.
2007 proved busy for Kayleigh as she co-hosted the World Poker Tour in this year. Sabrina Gadecki rounded out the hosting duo, and celebrity players included Tom Everett Scott and poker pros Paul Darden, Phil Laak, and Antonio Esfandiari.
Diversifying her career interests, 2008 also brought a starring role in a feature film for the young television personality. She appeared in A Simple Promise opposite Wallace Demarria, Bobby Reed, Alana Ethridge, and Glen Mac.
Her latest project has been as backstage correspondent for Randy Jackson Presents America’s Best Dance Crew. JC Chasez, Lil Mama, and Mario Lopez serve as judges for the new reality competition.
Her career has also been helped along by a recurring video blog, which is routinely posted to her MySpace page.
In her personal life, Kayleigh has been romantically linked to Nick Cannon and 50 Cent. She was also involved with Wil ONeal from 2006 to 2007.
Popular with the men in general, Kayleigh came in at number thirty-three on the Askmen.com “Top 99 Women” poll.
She currently lives in the entertainment hub of the United States, Hollywood, California.
