Well known on the other side of the Atlantic, in the United Kingdom and about to become a huge celebrity in the United States of America as she is set to re-launch the character of Jamie Summers as the Bionic Woman.

Michelle Ryan was born just outside London, in Enfield, Middlesex, on April 22^nd 1984. At the age of ten she joined a local theater company  and while she was still at school she had a Saturday job at Pineapple Studios where she loved seeing all the bands come in to practice.

By the age of fifteen Michelle was being cast in one of the UK’s best loved soap operas, ‘Eastenders’ where she played the obnoxious character of Zoe Slater the youngest of three daughters born into a typical East End market trading family, in London. She appeared along side Wendy Richard and Martine McCutcheon, known for her role as the love interest of the Prime Minister, Hugh Grant, in the 2003 movie ‘Love Actually’.

Michelle’s beauty and physical appearance has seen her rated as one of the 100 Sexiest Women in the men’s magazine, FHM, in 2002, 2004, 2004 and 2007, a list which also includes Mischa Barton, Keira Knightley and Angelina Jolie.

In 2005 Michelle released the news that she was quitting Eastenders in favour of pursuing a career in films and within just two years she was cast in the role of The Bionic Woman in the NBC Television remake of the 1970’s cult program in which the Bionic Woman was played by Lindsay Wagner.

2006 saw Michelle auditioning for the prestigious role of Vesper Lynd in the 2006 remake of the Bond movie, Casino Royale, but the role eventually went to Eva Green. Since her rise to stardom in the UK Michelle has made appearances in the 2007 movie ‘I Want Candy’ where she played the character of Lila opposite Carmen Electra and Mackenzie Crook.

In early 2007 Michelle was offered a role in the  Mr Bean sketch for the UK television based charity Red Nose Day, with Bean being played, as usual, by Rowan Atkinson. Later in 2007 she made an appearance in ‘Flick’ a Welsh Independent Film co-starring Faye Dunaway and Leslie Phillips.

Michelle is unmarried and still has her home in North London.
