Pamela Gidley Pamela Gidley is an American movie and television star who has also fairly recently started her own line of jewelry. She claims that her jewelry store, Gidleys Glitter, is “where the glamour of Hollywood and the fashion of Beverly Hills meet.” She sells all types of jewelry, from bridal sets, to gold fashions, to NFL and platinum jewelry. Pamela was born on June 11, 1965 in Salem, New Hampshire. After finishing high school she moved to New York and was soon discovered by a modeling agent while walking down a Manhattan street. In 1985 she won the Wilhemina Modeling Agency's "Most Beautiful Girl In The World" contest. As Pamela’s modeling career flourished, she decided to formally study acting. She enrolled at the New York Academy of Dramatic Arts at the Stella Adler Studio of Acting. When she finished school, Pamela moved to Los Angeles to actively pursue her acting career. It didn’t take long for Pamela to start landing acting roles. In 1987 she landed the lead role of Cherry 2000 in the movie Cherry 2000. She played the perfect and sexy android wife of successful businessman Sam Treadwell, played by David Andrews. She also had a memorable and recurring role as Brigitte in the television series, The Pretender. She appeared in 17 episodes from 1997 to 2000. Other television credits include the character Lieutenant Nikki Rains in three episodes of Tour of DutyStrange Luck (1995) and as Detective Dorothy Paretsky in the short-lived CBS television show, Angel Street. The detective drama premiered on September 15, 1992 and ended on October 3, 1992. from 1987 to 1988. She also appeared in
Pamela also appeared in the NBC action/adventure television program, Crime Story. The show was about a 1960s police force in Chicago and Las Vegas that fights a battle against organized crime. Crime Story lasted for about two years premiering on September 18, 1986 and ending on May 10, 1988. Films that Pamela has appeared in include the 1998 action/comedy, The Blue Iguana opposite Dylan McDermott, where she played barwoman Dakota. She also starred as the murder victim, Teresa Banks, in David Lynch’s feature film Twin Peaks: Fire Walk With Me. (1992). In 1991 she played Jane Kessler in the mystery/thriller Liebestraum. Other movies Pamela has acted in are Permanent Record (1988) with Keanu Reeves, Jane Austen’s Mafia (1998) with Christina Applegate, the family adventure movie The Little Vampire (2000), and Landspeed (2002). In 1996 she acted in the only movie she also produced, a drama called Kiss and Tell. The earliest movie that Pamela starred in is Thrashin’ (1986), a skateboarder action/drama about two rival skateboarding gangs who battle for supremacy. The twist to the plot is that a member of one gang falls in love with the sister of his rival. Pamela starred opposite Josh Brolin in Thrashin’, which also featured music from The Bangles and early work from The Red Hot Chili Peppers. Pam's most current role is on the smash hit crime series CSI: Crime Scene Investigation where she plays a forensic specialist, Terri Miller.
