Patricia Bundchen Biography 

Brazilian beauty Patricia Bundchen is surprisingly not known for her modeling career, although she certainly comes from a fashion forward family. Known primarily as the fraternal twin of supermodel superstar Gisele Bundchen, Patricia has primarily made headlines for her superb management of her highly successful sister.

Patricia Bundchen was born July 20, 1980 in Tres de Maio, Brazil. She was subsequently raised in Horizontina, Rio Grande do Sul, Brazil. Hailing from Southern Brazil and growing up in a Roman Catholic household, Bundchen is of both Brazilian and German descent.

Bundchen was born to Vania Nonnenmacher and Valdir Bundchen, a bank clerk and university teacher and writer respectively. Growing up in a large family, Bundchen has five sisters. They are Raquel Bundchen, Graziela Bundchen, Gabriela Bundchen, Rafaela Bundchen, and Gisele.

Gisele, who is five minutes older than Patricia, has often cited her sister in interviews as “the hot one” in the family.

Although Bundchen has briefly attempted to break into the world of high fashion modeling, her career aspirations are generally much more practical. She is, therefore, best known as Gisele’s manager.

Helping her sister handle her business affairs from the beginning, Bundchen has helped develop her sister into one of the most successful and savvy models to ever grace a catwalk.

The business know-how of the Bundchen sisters did incite some controversy, however, in August of 2007. In that month, Gisele landed a contract with the hair care company Pantene. Reports indicated that Gisele’s contract necessitated her payment in euros rather than the American dollar. There were similar rumors that Gisele demanded payment in euros for her work with Dolce & Gabbana as well.

The move was prompted by the weakening of the US dollar, and the issue received a lot of press, including write-ups by some of the world’s premier financial publications. After much criticism for the move, Bundchen posted a denial of the claims on Gisele’s official website.

Opting to stay out of the limelight, Bundchen has not been romantically linked in a public way to anyone.

Should her modeling career take off, however, that will most likely change. If Gisele’s high profile relationships with Leonardo DiCaprio and Tom Brady serve as any example, Bundchen’s love interests will not go unnoticed.
