Princess Eugenie of York Although born into one of the richest, powerful and famous families in the world the second child of Sarah Ferguson and Prince Andrew has so far managed to keep a fairly low profile and has remained an enigma to the ever vigilant paparazzi. Born on March 23rd 1990 to Royalty, as the youngest daughter of Prince Andrew, Duke of York, who is the third child and the second son of Queen Elizabeth II and Prince Philip, Duke of Edinburgh and Sarah Ferguson, Duchess of York. Eugenie’s name was derived from Queen Victoria Eugenie of Spain who was the granddaughter of Queen Victoria of England. Eugenie joined the British Royal family as the second daughter of Sarah and Andrew who had already welcomed the birth of their first daughter, Beatrice, in 1988. Eugenie is the sixth royal in line to the British throne. Eugenie spent her nursery school and pre-preparatory years at Winkfield Montessori in Surrey and at Upton House School in Windsor. Her next step in education came in 1995 when she attended Cowarth Park School in Surrey and then St. George’s School at Windsor Castle. Her final years in secondary school were spent at Marlborough College in Wiltshire.After her parents divorced in 1996 Eugenie and Beatrice remained with their mother but with total access granted to Andrew and the two parents have remained extremely good friends and have shared the raising of their daughters totally after an amicable divorce.
In July 2007 Eugene and Beatrice were guests of Prince William and Prince Harry at the concert they arranged in memory of their late mother Princess Diana. The young Princesses were in the company of performers such as Andrew Lloyd Webber, Elton John, Duran Duran, Fergie, Kanye West, Natasha Bedingfield, Rod Stewart, Tom Jones and Nelly Furtado. The Princess Eugenie, along with just about every other person on the planet, started her own blog where she discusses the daily happenings in the lives of the Royals and has listed Queen Elizabeth II her as one of her heroes and reveals she is nicknamed 'Super Gran'. The Duke of York is also given a generous mention as 'the most supportive father I could wish for', while Eugenie describes her mother as 'wonderful' and her older sister Beatrice, who is also a keen blogger, as 'one of my best friends'.
