Loos, who just turned thirty, was born in Madrid, Spain, on June 19, 1977, to an Anglo-Spanish mom and a Dutch-diplomat dad. She was basically a regular nobody until David Beckham hired her to work alongside Andy Bernal as his personal assistant, after which, in 2004, Loos began making public declarations she was Becks’ "alternative wife." In April of 2004, tabloid News of the World purchased Loos’ story, which included claims that Beckham’s wife, Victoria Beckham (also known as Posh Spice), who married Beckham in 1999, was bored in Madrid and spent most of her time working on her career as a singer/songwriter in the UK This left Beckham and Loos alone together a lot, resulting in the affair between them.
Loos’ story garnered a huge amount of public attention, propelling her into temporary stardom. Around this time, Loos came out the closet as a bisexual, admitting to her series of past lesbian lovers (Abi Titmuss and Emma Basden, for example) and boasting of her ability to turn straight gals into lesbians. She also began making appearances on TV as a presenter and reality television contestant, although neither did much for her celebrity status or career. Some her shows included the Dutch show Shownieuws; the controversial The Farm (in which she hand-jobbed a pig to collect its semen); and Celebrity Love Island, in which she seduced both Titmuss (one of her lesbian lovers) and model Calum Best (a dude).
So, instead, Loos got a boob job (going from a respectable 34C to a voluptuous 34D) and started posing nude or practically so for Dutch Playboy, FHM, Nuts, and Zoo, among other men’s magazines. As of 2007, Loos was a contestant for the new season of a Spanish Survivor-ish reality show, and has been romantically linked to Matthew Ridge (a man, yes), the host of Celebrity Treasure Island and a former New Zealand rugby player.
Further, she has most recently made the headlines for another claim regarding the ever-popular Beckhams: that she’s responsible for the couple’s strong marriage, according to Daily Mail. Just days after Victoria Beckham finally spoke up about the affair from three years ago, Loos reportedly said: "In a way they should be glad it happened—it’s made them stronger. They even went on to have another kid. Everything happens for a reason; even bad things."
So now couples should be happy when an affair rocks their marriage? Sounds more like Rebecca is just thankful for the one thing that truly made her a short-lived celebrity.
