Sienna Miller Biography

Sienna Miller has, in the past, been hailed as one of the most beautiful faces in Hollywood. She has appeared in several movies, but it was in the modeling industry that she found her first taste of success, often being compared to super-model Kate Moss.

In recent years, news of Sienna’s on and off relationship with Jude Law have been a favorite topic for the entertainment media, blogs and newspapers.
 
Sienna Rose Miller was born on December 28th, 1981 in New York, New York. Miller spent her childhood in England and went on to spend a year studying drama at the Lee Strasburg Institute in New York City. Before she decided to pursue acting, Sienna worked as a photographic model. Her first appearance in film was in the 2001 film South Kensington, which also starred another beauty, Australian born, Elle Macpherson.

Sienna has also appeared in Layer Cake, High Speed and had her first starring role in the 2005 film Casanova, which gave her the opportunity to act alongside another Australian, the late Heath Ledger.

With four more movies under her belt including Camille and Factory Girl, in which she  played a starring role, her acting career was almost certain to continue to blossom.
Sierra also held the contract as the model for Pepe jeans and also posed nude on the cover of Vanity Fair in 2005, paving the way for actress Scarlett Johansson and good friend Keira Knightley, who would bare it all the following year for the same high-profile magazine.

In 2006, it was announced that Miller would design a fashion capsule for Pepe Jeans, the project was later expanded to become a complete fashion label which was named after Miller’s birth date, Twenty8Twelve and was financially backed by Pepe Jeans. The collection, which Miller designed with her sister Savannah, a professional fashion designer, launched in September 2007.

Miller met her now ex-fiancé Jude Law in 2004 when they acted together in the movie Alfie. They were engaged on Christmas Day of the same year. Law, the twice Academy Award nominated actor, has appeared in the box-office hits The Talented Mr. Ripley and Cold Mountain.

Jude was already a father of four before he met Sienna. Law’s loyalty to Sienna proved to be short-lived when he admitted to, and publicly apologized for, having an affair with his children’s nanny, Daisy Wright, shortly after their engagement. The tabloids pounced on the stories of Jude’s infidelity, and the relationship ended.

Although the couple later decided to work things out, they would split again amidst rumors that Sienna was having her own affair with Daniel Craig, the actor who inherited the role of James Bond from Pierce Brosnan. This seemed to be the last straw for the troubled relationship and this time it was Law who ended their troubled engagement.

The couple had attempted a reconciliation but when rumors began to surface that Law was seeing one of his assistant managers, the couple parted for good in November 2006.

Sienna then went on to create more intrigue in her personal life when she began dating Welsh actor Rhys Ifans from August 2007 - June 2008 when it was assumed the actress had finally decided to settle down. But, when that relationship faltered, Miller began an affair with actor and father of four, Balthazar Getty, who was still married to designer Rosetta Getty at the time they got together. The media had a field day reporting on just about every angle of the relationship.

In 2009 Miller was set to play Maid Marian in Ridley Scott's film Nottingham, featuring Russell Crowe as the Sheriff of Nottingham. However, she was removed from the role before filming began.  But 2009 did offer Miller the opportunity to do some charity work when she starred in the UK's annual charity fundraiser, Comic Relief, in which she played Sohpie, in the spoof of the film Mamma Mia! alongside English comediennes Dawn French and Jennifer Saunders.
