Stacy Keibler With her early beginnings in dance, ballet, tap and cheerleading, its hard to imagine a light footed young lady such as Stacy Keibler could turn her talents to the normally heavy weight male dominated sport of wrestling. But in recent years it has become a totally accepted female domain with the arrival of such talents as Christy Hemme, Sable and Torrie Wilson. Stacy Keibler was born on October 14th 1979 in Rosedale, Maryland, as an only child to Gary and Patricia Keibler. At the age of three Stacy first showed an interest in dance and attended a local dance studio in Dundalk. Her early school years were spent at Catholic High School and then she continued her education at Towson University where she graduated with almost perfect grades in Mass Communication. Stacy took her dancing seriously and soon placed herself in the public eye when she joined the Baltimore Ravens football team as a cheerleader, as the youngest member of the group. Finding that performing in public was rewarding, Stacy took her dance skills to television when she won a competition to find a Nitro Girl for the Monday night WCW TV show at which time she used the stage name, Skye.
This venture didn’t last long when Stacy was recruited to serve as an associate for a tag wrestling team where she would wear a business suit and dance provocatively on the commentator’s table. She adopted her own style of making her entrance by striding the wrestling ring ropes and in doing so showing her rear to the enthralled audience. It was her debut with Shane McMahon’s ‘Smackdown’ that brought her to the attention of the serious wrestling spectator when she was paired up with Torrie Wilson. The pair were frequently seen feuding with two other tag wrestlers, Trish Stratus and Lita. The four women were the first to compete in the WWF Invasion which had them wrestling in a tag team match of bra and panties. Stacy turned her skills to music in 2004 when she duetted with Jim Johnston on the WWE Originals album where they sang the track ‘Why Cant we just Dance?’ Other wrestlers who appeared on the album included John Cena, Lilian Garcia and Chris Jericho. In 2006 Stacy appeared on Dancing with the Stars along with Drew Lachey and Cheryl Burke when she, and her partner Tony Dovolani, received four perfect scores and were placed third. At this time she was also offered the opportunity to pose for Hugh Hefner’s Playboy Magazine but went on to refuse three such offers as she believes she should leave something to the imagination for her fans. She has however graced the covers of magazines such as Stuff and maxim.
Stacy’s ambition is to be on television and to have her own sitcom after she appeared on The George Lopez Show. Her other television appearances have been as a entertainment correspondent for Good Morning America which has previously been hosted by Diana Sawyer. In 2006 when Stacy’s contract with WWE ended she signed a contract with Touchstone Television which is owned by Disney. In February 2007, Keibler began her recurring role on ABC's Monday night comedy, ‘What About Brian’. She plays the role of Brian's new neighbour and love interest, Stephanie. This marks Keibler's first significant acting role, compared to her previous minor roles in both "Bubble Boy" and "Pecker". In here private life Stacy has been connected to Geoff Stults, best known for his role on 7th Heaven, which also stars Catherine Hicks, David Gallagher, Beverley Mitchell, but rumours abounded regarding their breakup in which Jennifer Aniston was sited as the reason.
