Tony Allen

Tony Allen has found marginal success as the frontman for his indie rock band Dead Stays Alive, but that exposure was nothing compared to the buzz he created in September of 2007.

During that tumultuous month, his name cropped up across magazine headlines, gossip columns, and Google searches with a frenzied fervor.

What offered Allen this attention windfall? It certainly wasn’t his Atlanta, Georgia based band. Although Dead Stays Alive has garnered some local attention and has established an oft visited MySpace page, Dead Stays Alive has yet to release their first CD. (However, the singles “Peace Dog 2007,” “Get U Alone,” and “Days Roll On” have already been sent off to numerous radio stations.)

Rather, Allen’s newfound fame was a product of some highly publicized rumors involving him and troubled starlet Lindsay Lohan.

It is known for sure that they both attended Cirque Lodge Rehab in Utah. It is also known they struck up a friendship while in that facility. But the rest, which involves a steamy meeting in a bathroom, becomes contentious.

Adding to the rumor mill, Allen’s wife, British heiress Stephanie Allen, named Lohan in divorce papers. She claimed her husband and the early 20s film star and sometimes musician had sex (of all places) in the rehab facility’s bathroom, and this act of infidelity rendered their marriage irreparable.

Although both Allen and reps for Lohan feverishly denied these allegations, Allen was still thrown out of the family home by his wife.

Before Lohan ever entered the picture, Allen and his wife tried repeatedly to have children. They went through in vitro fertilization twice and suffered as many miscarriages. On the third attempt, however, Stephanie finally carried the full term.

Shortly after, Allen entered rehab and, true or not, the stories involving LiLo contributed to the demise of his marriage.

After Allen left the rehab center, Lohan was briefly linked to Sonny Bono’s son, Chesare Bono.

Different sources put Allen’s age between thirty-five and forty, or put another way, nearly twice Lohan’s age.
