Boy George Attempts A Comeback With Clever Amy Winehouse Lyrics!

It seems to be a year for ‘comeback kids!’. First there was The New Kids on The Block who resurrected themselves with a new album in September 2008, then there was Britney Spears making a recovery from her drug fueled downward spiral in February 2009, when she achieved success in her comeback by having the second single of off her comeback album, Circus. Then just a couple of months ago, out from the woodwork of obscurity came the 1980’s pop princess, Whitney Houston, with a new album, a new single and copious TV appearances to boot!

But who ever would have thought that a 1970’s pop icon with a criminal record, a weight problem, a drug addiction and bald head would attempt a comeback?

Well that’s just what Karma Chameleon singer, Boy George is hoping to achieve as he reveals a song he penned while incarcerated in prison for assaulting and falsely imprisoning a man last year.

And who is the song about? None other than fellow druggie, Amy Winehouse. Now isn’t that what could be termed as the pot calling the kettle back?

The ex Culture Club band member has titled the song "Your Pain Makes a Beautiful Sound," in which George questions just what it is that Amy does best, drugs or performing, with the lyrics, "You’re a genius, you’re a car crash, it’s hard to say what you do best."

If George has learned his lesson from his spell in prison and can remain on the straight and narrow, come up with more of his former clever lyrics, we may just see a resurgence in his career along with Spears, Houston and those New Kids on the Block!

Whitney Houston's Million Dollar Performance!

Maybe returning to the music scene in the same gender as she left isn’t the best decision Whitney Houston has made recently (with the exception of dumping Bobby Brown!) but for a woman who has battled drugs, booze, a disastrous violent relationship and is now heading towards 50, Whitney certainly gave her all when she returned to the stage in the UK’s X Factor show last Saturday night singing Million Dollar Bill!

Along with a fairly unspectacular song, the heat of the lights and a wardrobe malfunction that saw The Bodyguard star’s dress coming undone at the back, Miss Houston gave what was a sensational display of professionalism while running around the stage in high heels and a long dress.

Although some quarters took it upon themselves to give the performer, with more than 20 years experience, an Oscar and Grammy awards on her side, a bad report, following her attempts to engage in conversation after her performance, it seemed perfectly normal to expect the 46 year old to be somewhat out of breath and trying to regroup during the question and answer period.

But the wit of Whitney was not lost among the breathlessness and sweating as Dermot O’Leary flattered the cousin of Dionne Warwick by commenting on her directness when coaching contestants in the master class, at which point Whitney looked at Simon Cowell as she said: 'Yeah, is that why you call me Lippy?' And not letting the matter drop, she continued, 'Simon calls me Lippy 'cause I say what's on my mind just like he does.'

Realizing he was in the company of a super star and the woman who can claim her godmother to be Aretha Franklin, Simon stood up and announced how amazed he was to be in the presence of Whitney Houston, at which point the whole studio erupted into applause.

Madonna 'Hung Up' On Looking Sexy!

It took the website Muzu.tv to come to conclusion that the sleazy Material Girl is not sexy. That’s the conclusion reached by an online pole by users of the music video website Muzu.tv when they put the 51 year old in pole position for her ‘least sexy’ video that accompanies the ex wife of Guy Ritchie’s "Hung Up" track written by the American singer-songwriter for her tenth studio album Confessions on a Dance Floor.

Having shown a definite penchant for leotards over the decades, the video sees Madonna prancing suggestively around in a mirror walled dance studio in a Barbie pink leotard believing that she has the ability to raise the blood pressure and pulse rate of all who view her. Wrong!

Keeping Madge company in on the list are Pink, Michael Jackson, Billy Ray Cyrus, David Hasselhoff and The Spice Girls!

Not only does Madonna top the ‘least sexy’ top 10 she also doesn’t even appear in the top 10 ‘most sexy’ list either.

And judging by Madge’s most recent concerts named, ‘The Sticky & Sweet Tour’ her ability to look sexy in a leotard hasn’t improved with age, in fact it has actually diminished.

The Telegraph.co.uk has located a guy who clearly has too much time on his hands and evidently needs some type of counseling, as a newly wed since last month!

He’s taken hours of his time to sculpture Halloween pumpkins into some of the world’s best known personalities, and although the UK publication states, ‘Rather than carving out the traditional sinister smiles on his prized fruit for Halloween, this gardener is busy carving out the faces of his favourite stars for decorative 'jack-o'-lanterns.'

Some may disagree with just who has sinister smiles and who doesn’t.

Take Simon Cowell for instance, there must be thousands of former American Idol contestants who would quite comfortably use the word, ‘sinister’ to describe the guy who can annihilate there hopes and dreams with just one sentence.

Then there’s the bad girl of R&B, Amy Winehouse who’s life to date holds plenty of sinister encounters, incidents and relationships.

But the pumpkin that takes the biscuit for being ominous is that of US president Barack Obama. The man who makes promises at the drop of hat and never delivers, the man who promised to close Guantanamo Bay, it remains open. In the 2008 elections, the then-Senator Barack Obama advocated repeal of the policy to allow gay and lesbian people to serve openly in the armed forces, now, as president Obama, in a major departure from his campaign promises, his administration is defending the policy in court. The man who is attempting to make the nation healthier by introducing incentives for healthy lifestyles, himself is a smoker…..but the question remains….just what is he smoking?
